A Call to Protect the Planet for Future Generations

Green Action Day is sponsored by Maitripa College, a Buddhist college located in SE Portland that offers public programs as well as degrees in Buddhist Studies and Divinity.

Per the Maitripa College website:

"The Green Action Day is an event geared towards harnessing the inspiration of the preceding day's events with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and leading environmentalists to provide a venue for local environmental groups and concerned citizens to gather and connect in practical ways to make a difference for the planet."

Activities will include speakers, music performances, family fun, informational booths, and a prayer flag ceremony.
